From the world of Amazon Original Series The Man in The High Castle, based on author Philip K. Dick’s award-winning book, comes a new immersive music and storytelling experience – Resistance Radio premieres today at ResistanceRadio.com and on Amazon Echo.
Emmy-winning The Man in The High Castle, in its second season on Amazon Prime Video, is the most watched original scripted show in the history of the service. It is a story taking place 17 years after the Allied Powers lost World War II, with America divided and controlled by the Greater Nazi Reich in the East and the Japanese Pacific States in the West. Living between these areas lies a lawless “neutral zone,” running down the Rocky Mountains. People are living in fear and oppression, and a fledgling Resistance movement is struggling to fight back.
Resistance Radio extends this world where pirate radio stations broadcast in secret from basements, boats and pickup trucks. Resistance Radio DJs—Miss Evangeline, Bob Montez and Jake Rumiel—will host four hours of narrative storytelling, broadcasting the Resistance movement’s underground message to all; with the hope that they can keep the memory of a former America alive.
Resistance Radio will also feature classic 1960s songs reimagined for the world of The Man in the High Castle by noted producers Sam Cohen and Danger Mouse, along with some of today’s most popular indie and alternative artists.
