Huge NFL Free Agency News!

The NFL Free Agency starts today, but there are some players (as of yesterday) who have already been traded and signed by some teams. For example, the Arizona Cardinals have traded running back David Johnson to the Houston Texans for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The Cardinals received cash considerations and the 4th round pick, and the Texans received a 2020 2nd round pick and a 2021 4th round pick, which means that the Texans don’t have this year’s 1st round pick. The DeAndre Hopkins trade is great news for the Cardinals, but the David Johnson trade is bad news, which is a bittersweet. I am going to miss David Johnson to be honest, and I hope he plays well in Houston. Now, the Cardinals wide receiver group just got dangerous. They have Larry Fitzgerald, DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, Hakeem Butler, Trent Sherfield, KeeSean Johnson, Damiere Byrd, Andy Isabella, and Pharoh Cooper. The Cardinals also upgraded their defensive linemen with the signing of Jordan Phillips from the Buffalo Bills. He is coming off last season with 9 1/2 sacks and I think that is a great signing because they need to get a push to sack the quarterback. Texans fans are totally stunned about this trade!

Speaking of stunning, Tom Brady left the Patriots and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! This news melted the internet down as the NFL fans went crazy.

Finally, the Las Vegas Raiders surprisingly were very aggressive in early free agency. They have signed quarterback Marcus Mariota, safety Jeff Heath, tight end Jason Witten, and linebacker Carl Nassib.

I will keep an eye on more player signings and trades so stay tuned for more free agency information!
