Marvel Special Event

So on Monday your Nerd Element peeps Kimberly and Antonio got the chance to go to the See it First Marvel Special Event in LA. Now going into this I was suspecting them to announce some movie stuff and boy we were in for that and more!

The event started with Marvel Studios showing their studio opening and then Kevin Feige took the stage to discuss well pretty much what Marvel Studios has set in stone for movies for the next 5 years!

First they announced Captain America:Serpent Society May 6, 2016

Followed by Doctor Strange on November 4, 2016

Then they had a video clip from James Gunn director of Guardians of the Galaxy who is in Tokyo working on a different film and he thanked everyone for making Guardians so successful. He then told people he is hard at work on Guardians 2 and since he couldn’t wait they bumped the day for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 up to May 5, 2017!

Next Feige anannouncedhat we will have Thor: Ragnarok coming on July 28, 2017

People really went crazy however when they announced Black Panther will be released on November 3, 2017. It also seems that we will have THREE Marvel movies in 2017!

Then they skipped over their movie slot for May 4th 2018 to talk about another movie that made people go crazy! Feige announced that we will have Captain Marvel coming out on July 6th, 2018 and not only that but we will be getting the Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel!

Then while Feige was still on the topic of new characters joining the MCU they then showed us Inhumans which will be coming out November 2, 2018.

Then we went back to talking about that mysterious May 4th slot and the room went dark and they showed a video montage of the all the infinity gems that have been in the movies so far. The last clip was showing Thanos with the fully gemmed Infinity Gauntlet and then Marvel announced on May 4th, 2018 Avengers: Infinity War part 1 and May 3rd, 2019 we would get Avengers: Infinity War part 2!

We thought that was going to be it, but then Feige said he didn’t like the subtitle Serpent Society, the room went dark again and the title changed to Captain America: Civil War.

When the lights came on again standing there with their fists up were Robert John Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans who talked briefly about the movie and they showed a clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron that plant the seeds for Civil War.

They said Black Panther will be in the movie and Downey and Evans talked about what side he would choose. Then they said well lets ask him and the brought out Chadwick Boseman who will be Black Panther in the Marvel MCU and they showed us concept art of the costume he might be wearing in the movie! He didn’t pick a side but he did say he is happy to be apart of the Universe!
